What's On

Autumn Festival 2022

Welcome Note

We’re so pleased to be sharing our new look Festival Guide with you. In 2010 the Hostry building was opened by Her Majesty the Queen, and in her Platinum Jubilee year we are welcoming some of Norfolk’s and the UK’s best loved authors and artists with exclusive appearances & commissions throughout.

Our Festival Central Production Ring Round the Moon by Jean Anouilh & Christopher Fry is a rarely seen classic European romantic comedy drama, set in French high society of the roaring 1920s. The Norfolk Arts Awards celebrates its 10th anniversary with Norwich School hosting the event at the Blake Studio, Cathedral Close. As part of this landmark year we have invited Public & Creative Voting in partnership with the EDP in 11 of the awards categories.

Rebecca Chapman announces her new Total Ensemble: Arts Initiative, launching new initiatives to explore new ways of creating; building fresh, positive relationships for a new age. The African Choir of Norfolk bring us their 2nd gala festival concert, with new material, new costumes and new members set to lift all our spirits skyward. Paint Out brings us a Nocturne Painting Festival running, Thursday evening to a Saturday Private View & Sunday exhibition in a marquee in the Cathedral Close.

We look forward to welcoming you at our Launch Night celebrating participants & partnerships from across the county as well as at one or many of our events on offer at the Autumn Festival of Norfolk. Stash Kirkbride Co-founder, Artistic Director. stashkirkbride@hostryfestival.org
